My family and I were driving home to NC from MI and the back 1/2 of my driveshaft on my truck ended up falling off on I75 around 10pm on Thursday 11/14. Got towed to a hotel bought a new drive shaft that night around midnight from autozone-woke up first thing in the morning got a Lyft to autozone to pick up the drive shaft and started making phone calls to local repair shops. Mr Mechanic was the first one to say they could install the new drive shaft for me so I had my truck towed there around 9am Friday 11/15. Around 10/11am got a call saying the drive shaft I ordered was the front half of the drive shaft and not the back half (I couldn't believe I ordered the wrong part) luckily they were able to get the correct back 1/2 of the drive shaft in for me and I asked them if they'd also be able to replace the front 1/2 as well since I had already spent the $$$ on it and they had it in their hands. Thank God they obliged and not only that but by 6:30pm that same Friday night we had our truck back with a complete new drive shaft in it's entirety and were able to get back on the road home to NC the next morning. I can't thank them enough and especially want to give a big shout out to the mechanics for working so diligently and efficiently to get my family and I back on the road and heading home sooner than later.

We've been there twice and have been impressed (and grateful) both times. First, they diagnosed and fixed each problem, and before you say "Well, of course they should," that hasn't been the case for us always at other shops this past couple of years. Second, their prices are quite reasonable. Third, availability and turnaround time are excellent. And fourth is just a plus: these are really nice people. We like and trust them. On further reflection, that should probably be at the top of the list.:)

My Astro was making a really loud whining noise when accelerating. I called in the morning and they had some cancellations so they were able to get me in same day. I drive a 10 year old 2010 Lexus ES, that has been very reliable over the years. About two years ago my ac went belly up, and Lexus recharged it and could not find the leak. This made them suspect it was in the evaporator core which is very inaccessible. They estimated in the neighborhood of $2500 to replace. They wouldn't guarantee it would fix the problem because they could not verify the leak was there. It was a slow leak, and after a year the car needed another charge. I decided to try Mr. Mechanic who charged me about half of what Lexus did for a recharge, which worked for several months. They also suspected the leak was in the evaporator core. When this charge ran out in just a few months, I decided to bite the bullet and have Mr. Mechanic fix it. By now the mechanic had acquired a sniffer, which was able to verify the leak was in the core. They estimated about $1600. The cost was so high because of the labor required to remove the entire dash to access the part. They replaced the part and all is well. I had been concerned about the removal of the dash and how it would reinstall. Thankfully, they did a masterful job and you cannot tell it was out. They also cleaned up and sanitized the inside of the car. The best part is they came in under the estimate by nearly $100. I will not hesitate to return to them for future service.

I own a car dealership and one of my customers took my car here for a pre purchase inspection. Keep in mind we inspect all our cars mechanically and fix any issues. Most shops will then proceed to make up a 2k bill saying things need replaced when they don't and it makes me look bad when in reality they are the shady ones. However this place came to the same conclusion we did and didn't try to make things up and lie which is unusual in the industry. Mr. Mechanic seems to be an honest place to do business.

After being told by Midas that both front and back brakes needed replaced, to the tune of $1500 my boyfriend recommended Mr Mechanic so I drove down from Dayton and they did the reoair ( which was back brakes only, no calpiers as Midas quoted) for $417!!! Jeff and his mechanic staff are excellent ! This was my second experience with Jeff''s operation. My son visited over the Thanksgiving holiday and his 2002 VW Jetta was losing antifreeze. I called Jeff and he was very attentive to the need. I explained he was headed back to DC, facing an 8 hour drive, and Jeff convinced me to bring to the shop. Jeff met me there, did a personal diagnostic check out and took over from there. He genuinely understood my concern and the critical timing. Jeff's personal concern of the immediate/critical need and subsequent repair is a tribute to his genuine character and to his entire operation ! Not only was the car issue repaired, but additional fault codes issues were cleared as well. Thank you Jeff and to your entire mechanic staff ! I seriously cannot say enough good things about Mr. Mechanic! I recommend them to everyone I know b/c every time I have ever had a car issue they get me in right away and if they can fix it (which they usually can quickly), they do, and if they can't (b/c it is a tire issue or something they don't do), they tell me the best place to go. Often they have not even charged me for quick fixes. They are people that know cars and will be very honest. I drive 25 minutes (past many other car shops) to have them work on my car b/c I trust them that much!

Are car was towed here, and within a few seconds they were able to tell us what was wrong. Unlike most mechanics they didn't charge us an arm and a leg for something simple. Instead they met us with great humor and kindness. This place is amazing, you will never be treated better anywhere else!

This place is amazing. It's a little over half an hour away but it's totally worth it. I called around several places to get estimates on the repair job i needed and it was the cheapest by at least $50-$60! The people i talked to over the phone and at the counter were really nice people and when i was getting the estimate the guy even gave me some tips on upkeep and how to flush the coolant out myself and put a different one in in case i wanted to do it myself. Which basically said to me that they're not greedy. They seemed very honest, friendly, and reliable. I will definitely be taking my car back up there if i ever need anymore repairs.

When my car broke down in Cincinnati my mother in law suggested Mr. Mechanic, and they were wonderful. They let me tow my car to their shop on a weekend, when they're closed, which was so convenient. On top of that, they were timely and communicative every step of the way, from ordering new parts to giving me a realistic timeline of when my car would be ready. Affordable and with a team of very genuine, nice people, Mr. Mechanic's service was impeccable. I live in Columbus, OH but am considering taking my car there for all future services. I've taken my vehicles to Mr. Mechanic for more than 10 years. On more than one occasion, I've taken in the car for what was thought to be a major repair, and was pleasantly surprised it only needed an inexpensive repair instead. The heat in my car wasn't working well, and the previous car place I reviewed told me this was normal in older cars. At Mr. Mechanic, Nick told me this was NOT normal, and how they could fix the probable issue. They did and my car now heats up quickly! They also fixed an oil leak and another crucial issue I was concerned about and I am satisfied. I wish I'd taken my car to Mr Mechanic in the first place!

As many other reviewers have said, these guys are honest and knowledgeable, and only recommend the work that needs to be done. I had a car diagnosed with a rear main seal leak ($800) and a complicated evap system repair ($1500). Went to Mr Mechanic for a second opinion and they found nothing wrong with the rear main seal, and only a $300 evap sensor that was throwing the engine codes. Saved me what could have been $2000! Though there are many more convenient shops we could take our car to, we will be driving the extra distance to use Mr. Mechanic from now on.

My mazda3 was making a lot noises at low speeds. Dealer recommended many unnecessary costly repairs, like struts replacement. Mr. Mechanic diagnosed the problem correctly and told struts are just fine and fixed all the sounds and my 3 drives like a new car. Happy with their work. Thank you. Mr Mechanic is an honest and honorable repair shop! I took a 2014 Hyundai Sonata to my dealer for recall work. The dealer told me that the car needed new brakes and a new serpentine belt. I called around for the best price and wound up at Mr Mechanic. When I dropped the car off, I told him to replace the belt and the brakes. About an hour later Mr Mechanic called and told me that the brakes didn't need to be replaced but I should have them checked in a year, and then said that the belt didn't need to be replaced either. He easily could have just replaced what I asked him to, charged me the $450, and I wouldn't have ever known the difference. I was amazed that he came back with "all it needs is new windshield wiper blades". I had him replace the blades and change the oil! I would highly recommend Mr. Mechanic!! This kind of honesty in the car repair world is unbelievable!! Especially when they are dealing with a woman who doesn't know anything about car repair. Truly remarkable!!

I was stuck in the shopping centers parking lot. My car wouldn't go into gear! It was cold and raining outside. I had my 4 year old sick grandson with me. We walked over to the Mr. Mechanic shop. One of the gentlemen came out and got my car in gear and showed me what to do if it happens again. I offered payment and it was refused! They absolutely saved the day for this old Grandma! 2013 Ford Explorer Sport w/V6 Eco boost engine. Check engine light. Very impressed with their diagnostic capability. Decided that a stretched timing chain was the likely problem. If I could give 10 stars I would!!!! We were coming home from a weekend in Cinci when we hit something on the highway. Thank God we pulled off on the exit where Mr. Mechanic was! Even though it was a Sunday evening and they should have been closed, the mechanic there didn't even hesitate to look and our van. He found the problem and fixed it in less than an hour. This is what real local mechanics are like. Top notch service from honest, geniune and sincere people. If we lived closer, no doubt this would be my garage to go to any time I needed something. Can't say enough good things.

I have been using Mr. Mechanic to service my cars for over 23 years. I have found that they are always honest and candid with me; it is a business that I trust, which is hard to find in the auto repair industry. If there is a way to perform a repair and also save money, or if I ask to have something repaired that is not worth it, they are honest and prefer to do the right thing vs. just trying to get as much repair work like some other shops I have used in the past. This keeps me coming back.

Bringing my car in tomorrow...and so I'm trolling for a good price...but that said, Mr. Mechanic is the BEST car repair shop I've ever dealt with. I've taken everything from a Honda Element to my beloved Triumph TR-6 there and I've always trusted their advice, prices and expertise. . Plus (hopefully still) they have a sweet Caddy as a loaner, play classical music as hold music, and Jeff (the original Mr. Mechanic) is a gruff but lovable genius of all things automotive.
